Most of these behaviors, emotions and habits arise in the subconscious mind, and are beyond a person’s conscious awareness and control; they become automatic. In other words, we may initially lose weight on a given weight loss or weight control program, but then our old automatic habits, behavioral patterns, and attitudes lead us to self sabotage and we soon find ourselves right back where we started from, except maybe even more frustrated, unhappy and heavier. This only makes it harder to even try to lose weight the next time.

Depending on how much weight loss is involved, we may begin by having you visit your physician for a consultation and evaluation. It is vitally important that we address any medical conditions that might be contributing to your condition, and it’s also a good idea to ask your physician for dietary advice with respect to any medications you might be taking. Since exercise is and must be a part of any successful program to lose weight, it is also important to be sure you are cleared to engage in a program of healthy exercise.
How my weight loss/weight control hypnotherapy program works
My weight loss/weight control hypnotherapy program starts with several once weekly sessions which combine hypnosis and hypnotherapy with NLP, Timeline Therapy and other tools— all safe, painless and powerfully effective. The number of initial sessions varies between individuals. Weight loss and weight control is a process that must be done at a rate of about 2-3 pounds a week for lasting results. That doesn’t mean weekly sessions for the entire time you’re losing weight. We will cut back the frequency of your hypnotherapy sessions as your progress warrants and as you desire. It is important, however, that we work to help you establish and reinforce your new eating patterns, and exercise program, build upon your conscious motivation, and solidify your new self image. This is only done through regular sessions. I also give you reinforcing activities to accomplish between sessions, and other take-home tools like tapes and CDs when appropriate.
Together we will also discover, explore, and change your triggers— the emotional and behavioral patterns that got you where you are. With each session, with each pound, you will literally be reinventing yourself.
